Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Step III Implementation Strategy: Orchard Neighborhood and Sea Cliff Avenue Corridor.
Thank you to all who joined us at the Public Open House for the project on December 6, 2018, and to all who participated in the public survey.
After the Public Open House, the City and Community Development Agency (CDA) worked with the project consultants (Nelson, Pope & Voorhis (NP&V)) to revise the document to incorporate input received at the Open House, through the survey, and generally.
The document has been revised based upon public input and the feedback provided at the Public Open House held on December 6, 2018.
The Glen Cove City Council has begun the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) process for the BOA Step III. On January 22, 2019, the Council adopted a Positive Declaration per SEQRA indicating that a Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS) must be prepared.
Links to SEQRA documents are below:
Notice (PDF) indicating that a Draft Scope has been filed. Written comments on the Draft Scope were accepted from the public and all involved and interested agencies until the close of business on March 8, 2019.
Notice (PDF) indicating that a Final Scope has been adopted.
Final Scoping Document for the Draft GEIS (PDF). On March 26, 2019, the Glen Cove City Council adopted the Final Scope and directed the BOA consultants to prepare a GEIS in accordance with the Final Scope and SEQRA.
Written comments on the Draft BOA Step III document will continue to be accepted until the close of a comment period following the public hearing on the DGEIS.
Feedback on the BOA Step III can be submitted by email to BOAFeedback@glencovecda.org.
