More Ideas Wanted! Glen Cove Residents Encouraged To Share Their Thoughts To Plan the Future of John Maccarone Memorial Stadium and Park!
On October 12, about 75 people came to an evening Open House at City Hall to view proposals for improvements to John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium and Park on the south-side of Glen Cove Creek. This is in addition to over 150 people who came to two similar summer events. But we’re not done yet seeking public input – there is an electronic survey at surveymonkey.com/r/glencovecreek so please give us 10 minutes of your time and all your good ideas.
This is an exciting opportunity to improve Glen Cove’s recreational activities for the future, at the same time, make it easier for people to park around the grounds. Thanks to a grant provided by the New York State Department of State (under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund), two City of Glen Cove agencies – the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Community Development Agency – are leading this planning effort, which will result in engineering plans that will go out for construction.
To move this initiative forward, we need the continued input of Glen Cove residents to help us with this important project. Please go the survey website: surveymonkey.com/r/glencovecreek. The survey will ask you about current conditions, and request that you to share your thoughts on draft proposals for short-term and potential long-term improvements. You’ll be able to download maps that show these proposals and tell us what you think.
Feel free to share this survey with friends and family members. Thank you.
