Mayor Reggie Spinello and Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce Support the Cause
June 27, 2017, Glen Cove, NY…In celebration of its third anniversary and commitment to charitable giving, Vito’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, 91 Forest Avenue, hosted a special fundraising event on Saturday, June 24th for the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). Glen Cove Mayor Reggie Spinello and members of the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce joined Vito Marchese, his family and customers in cutting a ribbon to kick-off this very special event. For each pizza sold Vito’s donated half of the price to CTF. Vito’s business neighbor, The Bagel Café, also supported the fundraising drive by donating 50% of the cost of a dozen bagels to CTF. WBAB Radio was on-site to promote this important effort.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. The monies raised from this event will support the development of solid scientific data about this genetic disorder.
