The City Clerk is responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses for the State of New York and the recording of birth, marriage and death certificates in Glen Cove as required by the State of New York. In addition, the City Clerk issues yard/garage sale permits, racing and wagering permits for gambling, bingo and raffles, block party permits, and dog licenses for the City of Glen Cove. The City Clerk maintains the minutes of all City Council meetings. Copies of the City of Glen Cove zoning books and maps are available for purchase from the Office of the City Clerk, as are Subdivision Regulations books. The City Clerk also handles all Freedom of Information Law requests and claims against the City of Glen Cove.
Marriage Licenses, Birth and Death Certificates, and Dog Licenses: Please call the City Clerk to determine what documents you will need to obtain a marriage license, birth or death certificate, or dog license and the current applicable fees. Fees are set by the State of New York and may be changed at any time.
Hunting and Fishing Licenses: PLEASE NOTE: You must contact the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at 631-444-0310 for an application for these licenses.
